The walk
6.9 km out-and-back walk between Pretoro and Rapino, up to Strada delle Majelletta, 317 m of total ascent: about 2 h 30 min of walking. Waymarked CAI hiking trail, between 507 and 742 m above sea level. After the walk: lunch at La Grotta dei Raselli in Guardiagrele (3.9 km).
Waymarked hiking trail (grade E): paths and dirt roads, good walking shoes are enough.

By car
From Sulmona: about 35 min (25 km as the crow flies). Most trailheads have roadside parking or a small car park in the nearest village.
By train and bus
