The walk
5.2 km out-and-back walk between Zavattarello and Lombardia, up to Incrocio CAI 208, 353 m of total ascent: about 2 h of walking. Waymarked CAI hiking trail, between 808 and 1092 m above sea level. Along the way: Monte Calenzone. After the walk: wine tasting at Torre Degli Alberi (6.8 km) and lunch at Buscone in Varzi (6.8 km).
Waymarked hiking trail (grade E): paths and dirt roads, good walking shoes are enough.

By car
From Genoa: about 1 h 20 min (55 km as the crow flies). Most trailheads have roadside parking or a small car park in the nearest village.
By train and bus
