The walk
4.7 km out-and-back walk between Varzi and Val di Nizza, up to Sentiero 184, 336 m of total ascent: about 2 h of walking. Waymarked CAI hiking trail, between 563 and 822 m above sea level. After the walk: wine tasting at Torre Degli Alberi (5.9 km) and lunch at Buscone in Varzi (5.1 km).
Waymarked hiking trail (grade E): paths and dirt roads, good walking shoes are enough.

By car
From Genoa: about 1 h 15 min (52 km as the crow flies). Most trailheads have roadside parking or a small car park in the nearest village.
By train and bus
