Valnontey to Alpe Vermiana

The walk
7.3 km out-and-back walk , up to Alpe Vermiana, 493 m of total ascent: about 3 h of walking. Easy paths and dirt roads, between 882 and 1161 m above sea level. Along the way: Valnontey and Giardino botanico alpino Paradisia. After the walk: lunch at La Brasserie du Bon Bec in Cogne (2.7 km).
Easy path (grade T): wide tracks and short climbs, trainers are fine in dry weather.

By car
From Aosta: about 25 min (17 km as the crow flies). Most trailheads have roadside parking or a small car park in the nearest village.
By train and bus
Take a train to Aosta, then a regional bus or a taxi for the last stretch. Our link plans the whole trip with Google Maps public transport.
