The walk
6.7 km out-and-back walk between Santa Sofia and San Godenzo, up to Pian delle Fontanelle, 314 m of total ascent: about 2 h 15 min of walking. Waymarked hiking trail, between 1305 and 1518 m above sea level. After the walk: wine tasting at Podere della Civettaja (6.4 km) and lunch at La Tana degli Orsi in Pratovecchio Stia (9.8 km).
Waymarked hiking trail (grade E): paths and dirt roads, good walking shoes are enough.
