The walk
5.2 km out-and-back walk near Abriola, up to Monte Arioso, 337 m of total ascent: about 2 h of walking. Waymarked hiking trail, between 1344 and 1645 m above sea level. After the walk: wine tasting at Petracastalda (5.6 km).
Waymarked hiking trail (grade E): paths and dirt roads, good walking shoes are enough.

By car
From Potenza: about 25 min (17 km as the crow flies). Most trailheads have roadside parking or a small car park in the nearest village.
By train and bus
