The walk
6.3 km out-and-back walk near Sasso di Castalda, up to Colle Margiotto, 323 m of total ascent: about 2 h 15 min of walking. Waymarked hiking trail, between 1148 and 1382 m above sea level. After the walk: wine tasting at Petracastalda (2.6 km).
Waymarked hiking trail (grade E): paths and dirt roads, good walking shoes are enough.

From Potenza: about 25 min (18 km as the crow flies). Most trailheads have roadside parking or a small car park in the nearest village.
By train and bus
