The walk
7.1 km out-and-back walk between Carrara and Fivizzano, up to Casa Cardeto, 404 m of total ascent: about 2 h 30 min of walking. Waymarked hiking trail, between 1085 and 1271 m above sea level. Along the way: Monte Borla. After the walk: wine tasting at Vigneti Marmobianco (5.7 km) and lunch at Da Fiorella in Luni (9.0 km).
Waymarked hiking trail (grade E): paths and dirt roads, good walking shoes are enough.

By car
From La Spezia: about 35 min (24 km as the crow flies). Most trailheads have roadside parking or a small car park in the nearest village.
By train and bus
