The walk
5.3 km out-and-back walk near Ceresole Reale, up to Casotto Cialma (biv. 540A), 439 m of total ascent: about 2 h 30 min of walking. Waymarked hiking trail, between 1940 and 2257 m above sea level. After the walk: lunch at La Brasserie du Bon Bec in Cogne (19.8 km).
Waymarked hiking trail (grade E): paths and dirt roads, good walking shoes are enough.

From Aosta: about 50 min (33 km as the crow flies). Most trailheads have roadside parking or a small car park in the nearest village.
By train and bus
