The walk
7.6 km out-and-back walk between Sostegno and Serravalle Sesia, up to Bivio VCA700-VCA706, 370 m of total ascent: about 2 h 45 min of walking. Waymarked hiking trail, between 341 and 626 m above sea level. After the walk: wine tasting at Carlone (3.9 km) and lunch at Impero in Sizzano (14.7 km). Reachable by train: Serravalle Sesia station, 349 m from the trail.
Waymarked hiking trail (grade E): paths and dirt roads, good walking shoes are enough.

From Stresa: about 40 min (28 km as the crow flies). Most trailheads have roadside parking or a small car park in the nearest village.
By train and bus
