The walk
7.0 km out-and-back walk between Sostegno and Serravalle Sesia, up to Bivio VCA704-BIAM64 presso Bric Vaulina, 410 m of total ascent: about 2 h 30 min of walking. Waymarked hiking trail, between 314 and 648 m above sea level. After the walk: wine tasting at Carlone (2.9 km) and lunch at Impero in Sizzano (14.2 km).
Waymarked hiking trail (grade E): paths and dirt roads, good walking shoes are enough.

From Stresa: about 40 min (28 km as the crow flies). Most trailheads have roadside parking or a small car park in the nearest village.
By train and bus
