The walk
6.8 km out-and-back walk between Sant'Alfio and Piedimonte Etneo, up to Piazzale Serra Buffa, 247 m of total ascent: about 2 h 15 min of walking. Easy paths and dirt roads, between 1025 and 1226 m above sea level. After the walk: wine tasting at Aitala Vini dell'Etna (5.8 km) and lunch at 4 Archi in Milo (5.9 km).
Easy path (grade T): wide tracks and short climbs, trainers are fine in dry weather.

By car
From Catania: about 45 min (32 km as the crow flies). Most trailheads have roadside parking or a small car park in the nearest village.
By train and bus
