Volastra to Cascine Pianca via Porciano

The walk

4.7 km out-and-back walk between Riomaggiore and Vernazza, up to Case Pianca, 462 m of total ascent: about 2 h 30 min of walking. Waymarked hiking trail. Along the way: Volastra and Santuario di Nostra Signora della Salute. After the walk: wine tasting at Cerrolungo (6.9 km).

Waymarked hiking trail (grade E): paths and dirt roads, good walking shoes are enough.

How to get there

Country buses run less often on Sundays and holidays, and some not at all: check the return journey before you set off.
