The walk
4.3 km out-and-back walk between La Spezia and Riccò del Golfo di Spezia, up to Appulso, 375 m of total ascent: about 2 h of walking. Waymarked hiking trail, between 334 and 667 m above sea level. After the walk: wine tasting at Cerrolungo (4.2 km) and lunch at La Burlanda in Fosdinovo (17.9 km).
Waymarked hiking trail (grade E): paths and dirt roads, good walking shoes are enough.

By car
From La Spezia: about 5 min (4 km as the crow flies). Most trailheads have roadside parking or a small car park in the nearest village.
By train and bus
