The walk
6.1 km out-and-back walk near Norcia, up to Forca Viola, 414 m of total ascent: about 2 h 30 min of walking. Waymarked hiking trail, between 1324 and 1586 m above sea level. Along the way: Capanna Ghezzi and Cima del Redentore. After the walk: lunch at Osteria del Castello in Arquata del Tronto (11.5 km).
Waymarked hiking trail (grade E): paths and dirt roads, good walking shoes are enough.

From Ascoli Piceno: about 45 min (30 km as the crow flies). Most trailheads have roadside parking or a small car park in the nearest village.
By train and bus
