The walk
6.2 km out-and-back walk near Carona, up to Lago Fregabolgia, 440 m of total ascent: about 2 h 30 min of walking. Waymarked hiking trail, between 1929 and 2161 m above sea level. After the walk: lunch at Trattoria delle Miniere in Lenna (16.4 km).
Waymarked hiking trail (grade E): paths and dirt roads, good walking shoes are enough.
