The walk
6.8 km out-and-back walk between Galbiate and Pescate, up to Galbiate (Due Case), 500 m of total ascent: about 3 h of walking. Waymarked CAI hiking trail. Along the way: Santuario di San Michele. After the walk: wine tasting at La Costa (9.5 km) and lunch at Sali e Tabacchi in Mandello del Lario (9.0 km).
Waymarked hiking trail (grade E): paths and dirt roads, good walking shoes are enough.

From Como: about 35 min (24 km as the crow flies). Most trailheads have roadside parking or a small car park in the nearest village.
By train and bus
