The walk
7.0 km out-and-back walk between Pontassieve and Vicchio, up to Monte Giovi, 496 m of total ascent: about 3 h of walking. Waymarked hiking trail, between 469 and 964 m above sea level. Along the way: Chiesa di Sant'Andrea a Barbiana. After the walk: wine tasting at Bacco del Monte (3.8 km) and lunch at Antica Porta di Levante in Vicchio (3.8 km).
Waymarked hiking trail (grade E): paths and dirt roads, good walking shoes are enough.
