The walk
7.0 km out-and-back walk near Pontassieve, up to sentiero 00 (pressi valico di Aceraia), 351 m of total ascent: about 2 h 30 min of walking. Waymarked CAI hiking trail, between 383 and 711 m above sea level. After the walk: wine tasting at Caprandole di Thomas Colella (5.6 km) and lunch at Antica Porta di Levante in Vicchio (7.6 km).
Waymarked hiking trail (grade E): paths and dirt roads, good walking shoes are enough.
