The walk
6.4 km out-and-back walk between Morterone and Ballabio, 500 m of total ascent: about 3 h of walking. Waymarked CAI hiking trail, between 1310 and 1624 m above sea level. After the walk: lunch at Sali e Tabacchi in Mandello del Lario (9.4 km).
Waymarked hiking trail (grade E): paths and dirt roads, good walking shoes are enough.

By car
From Bergamo: about 40 min (28 km as the crow flies). Most trailheads have roadside parking or a small car park in the nearest village.
By train and bus
