7.6 km out-and-back walk between Fonte Nuova and Mentana, up to Centro storico Mentana, 233 m of total ascent: about 2 h 30 min of walking. Easy paths and dirt roads. Along the way: Museo delle maschere teatrali e del teatro dei burattini, Chiesa di San Nicola and Museo nazionale della campagna dell'Agro Romano per la liberazione di Roma. After the walk: lunch at Li Somari Trattoria Fuori Porta in Tivoli (14.5 km).
Easy path (grade T): wide tracks and short climbs, trainers are fine in dry weather.
