The walk
5.5 km out-and-back walk between Palanzano and Tizzano Val Parma, up to Capriglio, 238 m of total ascent: about 2 h of walking. Easy paths and dirt roads, between 1002 and 1092 m above sea level. After the walk: lunch at Locanda Mariella in Calestano (12.6 km).
Easy path (grade T): wide tracks and short climbs, trainers are fine in dry weather.

By car
From Parma: about 1 h (40 km as the crow flies). Most trailheads have roadside parking or a small car park in the nearest village.
By train and bus
