The walk
6.6 km out-and-back walk near Comune di Ayas, up to Alpe Boussolaz, 255 m of total ascent: about 2 h 15 min of walking. Waymarked CAI hiking trail, between 1644 and 1905 m above sea level. After the walk: lunch at Al Maniero in Issogne (15.7 km).
Waymarked hiking trail (grade E): paths and dirt roads, good walking shoes are enough.

From Aosta: about 45 min (30 km as the crow flies). Most trailheads have roadside parking or a small car park in the nearest village.
By train and bus
