The walk
3.9 km loop between Rocchetta e Croce and Pietramelara, 300 m of total ascent: about 1 h 45 min of walking. Waymarked CAI hiking trail. After the walk: wine tasting at Tralcio (2.8 km) and lunch at ‘A Luna Rossa in Bellona (8.4 km).
Waymarked hiking trail (grade E): paths and dirt roads, good walking shoes are enough.

From Isernia: about 1 h (40 km as the crow flies). Most trailheads have roadside parking or a small car park in the nearest village.
By train and bus
