Bonassola to Scernio

The walk

4.1 km out-and-back walk near Bonassola, up to Scernio, 280 m of total ascent: about 1 h 45 min of walking. Waymarked CAI hiking trail. Along the way: Castello di Bonassola, Chiesa di Santa Caterina d'Alessandria and Oratorio di Sant'Erasmo. After the walk: wine tasting at Cà du Ferrà Wine & Tasting (0.4 km) and lunch at Raieü in Lavagna (19.9 km). Reachable by train: Bonassola station, 23 m from the trail.

Waymarked hiking trail (grade E): paths and dirt roads, good walking shoes are enough.

How to get there

Country buses run less often on Sundays and holidays, and some not at all: check the return journey before you set off.
