Bomassola to Montaretto

The walk

6.2 km out-and-back walk near Bonassola, up to Montaretto, 425 m of total ascent: about 2 h 30 min of walking. Waymarked hiking trail. Along the way: Oratorio di Sant'Erasmo, Chiesa di Santa Caterina d'Alessandria and Castello di Bonassola. After the walk: wine tasting at Cà du Ferrà Wine & Tasting (0.6 km) and lunch at Raieü in Lavagna (19.0 km). Reachable by train: Bonassola station, 157 m from the trail.

Waymarked hiking trail (grade E): paths and dirt roads, good walking shoes are enough.

How to get there

Country buses run less often on Sundays and holidays, and some not at all: check the return journey before you set off.
