The walk
5.0 km out-and-back walk between Gavi and Carrosio, up to Innesto Sentiero E1, 235 m of total ascent: about 1 h 45 min of walking. Waymarked CAI hiking trail. After the walk: wine tasting at Fontanassa (4.4 km) and lunch at Il Moro in Capriata d’Orba (14.8 km).
Waymarked hiking trail (grade E): paths and dirt roads, good walking shoes are enough.

By car
From Genoa: about 45 min (29 km as the crow flies). Most trailheads have roadside parking or a small car park in the nearest village.
By train and bus
