The walk
6.3 km out-and-back walk near Sassello, up to Monte Avze', 223 m of total ascent: about 2 h of walking. Waymarked CAI hiking trail, between 976 and 1048 m above sea level. After the walk: lunch at Caccia C’a Bugge in Campo Ligure (14.6 km).
Waymarked hiking trail (grade E): paths and dirt roads, good walking shoes are enough.

By car
From Genoa: about 45 min (30 km as the crow flies). Most trailheads have roadside parking or a small car park in the nearest village.
By train and bus
