The walk
6.6 km loop near Vecchiano, 297 m of total ascent: about 2 h 15 min of walking. Waymarked CAI hiking trail. Along the way: Castello di Vecchiano, Chiesa di Santa Maria in Castello and Chiesa di Sant'Alessandro. After the walk: wine tasting at Tenuta Mariani (8.0 km) and lunch at Il Mecenate in Lucca (10.5 km).
