Valli to Eremo di San Salvatore di Lecceto

The walk

7.7 km out-and-back walk between Sovicille and Siena, up to Piazza ai Lecci (sent. 117), 282 m of total ascent: about 2 h 30 min of walking. Easy paths and dirt roads. Along the way: Eremo di San Salvatore di Lecceto and Toiano. After the walk: wine tasting at Fanciulle Vini (3.5 km) and lunch at La Taverna di Vagliagli in Castelnuovo Berardenga (13.8 km).

Easy path (grade T): wide tracks and short climbs, trainers are fine in dry weather.

How to get there

Country buses run less often on Sundays and holidays, and some not at all: check the return journey before you set off.
