The walk
5.7 km out-and-back walk near Valduggia, up to Valduggia, località Castagnola, bivio VCA765-VCA795, 411 m of total ascent: about 2 h 30 min of walking. Easy paths and dirt roads, between 616 and 790 m above sea level. After the walk: wine tasting at Carlone (3.4 km) and lunch at Impero in Sizzano (16.7 km).
Easy path (grade T): wide tracks and short climbs, trainers are fine in dry weather.

From Stresa: about 30 min (21 km as the crow flies). Most trailheads have roadside parking or a small car park in the nearest village.
By train and bus
