The walk
5.4 km out-and-back walk near Dossena, up to Monte Vaccareggio, 422 m of total ascent: about 2 h 30 min of walking. Waymarked CAI hiking trail, between 1081 and 1443 m above sea level. After the walk: lunch at Trattoria delle Miniere in Lenna (5.9 km).
Waymarked hiking trail (grade E): paths and dirt roads, good walking shoes are enough.

From Bergamo: about 30 min (21 km as the crow flies). Most trailheads have roadside parking or a small car park in the nearest village.
By train and bus
