The walk
4.9 km out-and-back walk near Alto Reno Terme, up to Terzo (percorso CAI 107), 331 m of total ascent: about 2 h of walking. Waymarked CAI hiking trail, between 636 and 851 m above sea level. After the walk: wine tasting at De Quarto Vitivinicoltori (3.5 km) and lunch at Il Nonno Cianco in Abetone Cutigliano (17.5 km).
Waymarked hiking trail (grade E): paths and dirt roads, good walking shoes are enough.

By car
From Florence: about 1 h 10 min (48 km as the crow flies). Most trailheads have roadside parking or a small car park in the nearest village.
By train and bus
