The walk
5.2 km out-and-back walk between Castelveccana and Porto Valtravaglia, up to San Michele, 474 m of total ascent: about 2 h 30 min of walking. Waymarked CAI hiking trail, between 340 and 812 m above sea level. Along the way: Chiesa di San Michele al Monte, Chiesa di San Giorgio and Chiesa di San Genesio.
Waymarked hiking trail (grade E): paths and dirt roads, good walking shoes are enough.
