The walk
5.9 km out-and-back walk between Neviano degli Arduini and Traversetolo, up to Rio Varone, 307 m of total ascent: about 2 h of walking. Waymarked CAI hiking trail. After the walk: wine tasting at Barbaterre (7.3 km) and lunch at La Longarola in Lesignano de’ Bagni (10.7 km).
Waymarked hiking trail (grade E): paths and dirt roads, good walking shoes are enough.

By car
From Parma: about 40 min (27 km as the crow flies). Most trailheads have roadside parking or a small car park in the nearest village.
By train and bus
