The walk
5.9 km out-and-back walk near Fiamignano, up to Caiaro, 312 m of total ascent: about 2 h of walking. Easy paths and dirt roads, between 1327 and 1504 m above sea level. Along the way: Monte Mandrini and Monte La Serra.
Easy path (grade T): wide tracks and short climbs, trainers are fine in dry weather.

From L'Aquila: about 30 min (21 km as the crow flies). Most trailheads have roadside parking or a small car park in the nearest village.
By train and bus
