San Lorenzo al Mare to Costarainera

The walk

5.0 km out-and-back walk between Costarainera and San Lorenzo al Mare, up to Costarainera, 275 m of total ascent: about 1 h 45 min of walking. Easy paths and dirt roads. Along the way: Chiesa di Santa Maria Maddalena. After the walk: wine tasting at Saglietto (2.3 km) and lunch at Dalla Padella alla Brace in Imperia (7.4 km). Reachable by train: San Lorenzo-Cipressa station, 120 m from the trail.

Easy path (grade T): wide tracks and short climbs, trainers are fine in dry weather.

Country buses run less often on Sundays and holidays, and some not at all: check the return journey before you set off.
