The walk
5.2 km out-and-back walk between Valle Castellana and Civitella del Tronto, up to Tre Caciare, 359 m of total ascent: about 2 h 15 min of walking. Waymarked hiking trail, between 1097 and 1453 m above sea level. After the walk: wine tasting at Pantaleone (6.8 km).
Waymarked hiking trail (grade E): paths and dirt roads, good walking shoes are enough.

From Ascoli Piceno: about 10 min (7 km as the crow flies). Most trailheads have roadside parking or a small car park in the nearest village.
By train and bus
