The walk
5.5 km out-and-back walk near Rio, up to Strada della Falconaia, 327 m of total ascent: about 2 h of walking. Waymarked CAI hiking trail. After the walk: wine tasting at Arrighi (3.8 km) and lunch at Summertime – Isola d’Elba in Capoliveri (7.5 km).
Waymarked hiking trail (grade E): paths and dirt roads, good walking shoes are enough.

By car
From Portoferraio: about 10 min (7 km as the crow flies). Most trailheads have roadside parking or a small car park in the nearest village.
By train and bus
Take a train to Portoferraio, then a regional bus or a taxi for the last stretch. Our link plans the whole trip with Google Maps public transport.
