The walk
4.1 km out-and-back walk between Mathi and Balangero, up to Monte Rolei, 337 m of total ascent: about 2 h of walking. Waymarked hiking trail, between 528 and 871 m above sea level. After the walk: wine tasting at Rostagno 1918 (5.8 km).
Waymarked hiking trail (grade E): paths and dirt roads, good walking shoes are enough.

By car
From Turin: about 40 min (28 km as the crow flies). Most trailheads have roadside parking or a small car park in the nearest village.
By train and bus
