Portella Ferraro to Da Portella Ferraro a Eremo di Santa Rosalia alla Quisquina

The walk

7.6 km out-and-back walk between Santo Stefano Quisquina and Cammarata, up to Eremo di Santa Rosalia alla Quisquina, 228 m of total ascent: about 2 h 30 min of walking. Easy paths and dirt roads, between 925 and 1028 m above sea level. After the walk: wine tasting at Baronia della Pietra (8.4 km).

Easy path (grade T): wide tracks and short climbs, trainers are fine in dry weather.

How to get there

Country buses run less often on Sundays and holidays, and some not at all: check the return journey before you set off.

Where to eat and drink

Book tastings ahead, and check opening days: many osterie close one day a week.
