The walk
7.1 km out-and-back walk between Pistoia and Sambuca Pistoiese, up to Bal di Carnevale, 360 m of total ascent: about 2 h 30 min of walking. Waymarked hiking trail, between 850 and 1109 m above sea level. Along the way: Limentrino and Abbazia di San Salvatore a Fontana Taona. After the walk: lunch at La Bottegaia in Pistoia (10.6 km).
Waymarked hiking trail (grade E): paths and dirt roads, good walking shoes are enough.
