Pié di Fontona to Colla di Gritta

The walk

7.5 km out-and-back walk between Monterosso al Mare and Levanto, up to Colla di Gritta, 320 m of total ascent: about 2 h 30 min of walking. Waymarked hiking trail. Along the way: Santuario di Nostra Signora della Guardia, Chiesa di San Michele Arcangelo and Chiesa di San Giovanni Battista. After the walk: wine tasting at Cà du Ferrà Wine & Tasting (3.2 km). Reachable by train: Levanto station, 142 m from the trail.

Waymarked hiking trail (grade E): paths and dirt roads, good walking shoes are enough.

How to get there

Country buses run less often on Sundays and holidays, and some not at all: check the return journey before you set off.
