6.5 km out-and-back walk between San Vito di Cadore and Cortina d'Ampezzo, up to Rifugio 5 Torri e Rifugio Scoiattoli, 446 m of total ascent: about 2 h 45 min of walking. Waymarked hiking trail, between 2120 and 2270 m above sea level. Along the way: Passo di Giau. After the walk: lunch at Il Capriolino in Vodo di Cadore (16.4 km).

From Belluno: about 1 h (40 km as the crow flies). Most trailheads have roadside parking or a small car park in the nearest village.
