The walk
4.5 km out-and-back walk between San Marcello Piteglio and Abetone Cutigliano, up to Passo della Calanca, 229 m of total ascent: about 1 h 30 min of walking. Waymarked hiking trail, between 1543 and 1727 m above sea level. After the walk: wine tasting at De Quarto Vitivinicoltori (8.6 km) and lunch at Il Nonno Cianco in Abetone Cutigliano (5.3 km).
Waymarked hiking trail (grade E): paths and dirt roads, good walking shoes are enough.
