The walk
4.3 km out-and-back walk between Sampeyre and Casteldelfino, up to Sampeyre, Croce d'Alie, bivio CNAU47, CNAU47A, 494 m of total ascent: about 2 h 30 min of walking. Waymarked hiking trail, between 1551 and 1661 m above sea level. After the walk: lunch at Lou Pitavin in Marmora (15.2 km).
Waymarked hiking trail (grade E): paths and dirt roads, good walking shoes are enough.

From Cuneo: about 1 h (42 km as the crow flies). Most trailheads have roadside parking or a small car park in the nearest village.
By train and bus
