The walk
6.9 km out-and-back walk between Gattinara and Lozzolo, up to Rusca Randa, bivio VCA700-VCA710, 248 m of total ascent: about 2 h 15 min of walking. Waymarked hiking trail. After the walk: wine tasting at Delsignore (3.7 km) and lunch at Impero in Sizzano (10.1 km).
Waymarked hiking trail (grade E): paths and dirt roads, good walking shoes are enough.

From Stresa: about 50 min (33 km as the crow flies). Most trailheads have roadside parking or a small car park in the nearest village.
By train and bus
