6.0 km out-and-back walk between Magliano de' Marsi and Borgorose, up to Murolungo, 375 m of total ascent: about 2 h 15 min of walking. Waymarked hiking trail, between 1791 and 2101 m above sea level. Along the way: Murolungo, Lago della Duchessa and Riserva regionale Montagne della Duchessa.
Waymarked hiking trail (grade E): paths and dirt roads, good walking shoes are enough.

By car
From L'Aquila: about 25 min (18 km as the crow flies). Most trailheads have roadside parking or a small car park in the nearest village.
By train and bus
