The walk
8.0 km out-and-back walk near Borgo Val di Taro, up to Riola (Percorso 833A), 451 m of total ascent: about 3 h of walking. Waymarked CAI hiking trail, between 546 and 854 m above sea level. After the walk: lunch at Antica Trattoria Carra in Varano Melegari (17.3 km).
Waymarked hiking trail (grade E): paths and dirt roads, good walking shoes are enough.
