The walk
6.5 km out-and-back walk between Chiaverano and Donato, up to Strada Sala-Croceserra, 275 m of total ascent: about 2 h 15 min of walking. Waymarked hiking trail, between 696 and 813 m above sea level. Along the way: Castello Rubino. After the walk: wine tasting at Terre Sparse (3.9 km).
Waymarked hiking trail (grade E): paths and dirt roads, good walking shoes are enough.

By car
From Aosta: about 1 h 15 min (51 km as the crow flies). Most trailheads have roadside parking or a small car park in the nearest village.
By train and bus
